- Featured Artist: Jason Fabok
At first Fabok seemed like just a David Finch lookalike, but I honestly think he puts guys like Finch and Jim Lee to shame. His work has a great amount of detail but a strong sense of composition and layout. Check out more of his artwork on Detective Comics every month, and check out his blogspot and DeviantArt pages.

Monster On the Hill, Hunger, Sheltered, Godzilla, Uncanny X-Men, & Detective Comics
Monster On The Hill GN– It’s a cute little story about an ineffective monster and his quest to become a better terror to the small town he lives nearby. I like the idea that the economies of all the little towns depend on the tourism their monsters bring, and the book has a lot of fun with some other ideas. It runs a little slow in the middle and I kind of lost some interest as the book progressed, but it’s a great read for younger kids. B
